Garfield Weston Foundation logoWe are delighted to have been awarded £25,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation towards core costs to help us enhance all our services for Share students. This award will give us scope to develop our independent living skills programme, helping us to incorporate more community-based learning within our work. Huge thanks to the Foundation for helping us to continue to make a difference in the lives of our students.

Community fun day – plants galore, healthy living and yummy treats!

Wow! What a fun day! It was wonderful to see so many of our community – neighbours, friends and supporters – from in and around Wandsworth at our Plant Sale and Healthy Living Community Day on 20th May.

With polytunnels and greenhouses brimming with plants for sale, lots of healthy living activities to try, and delicious treats from the Share Catering pop-up café to keep everyone going, there was a little something for everyone.

Huge thanks to everyone who who made our day special – with particular thanks to Janet Evans, Movement Works, Jonathan ClarkBikeworks and Wheels for WellbeingDisability Sports Coach (DSC) and Treblemakers who all gave up their time to support Share – as well as all the local businesses and the Wimbledon Foundation who donated prizes for our tombola prize draw.

The day raised over £2000 which will be used to develop our healthy living project, to help more of our students to live happy, healthy lives by eating well and exercising more.
